The international Holland Animation Film Festival (HAFF) is moving from autumn to spring. The next edition will be from March 28 to April 1, 2012.
Now that the annual frequency (since 2009) has proven to be a great success, the festival is also choosing a more favorable position in the film festival calendar, both internationally and in the Netherlands.

Due to the postponement, no festival will take place in November 2011. This autumn, the HAFF is organizing a program in collaboration with the Netherlands Film Festival (September 21–30), including a competition for Dutch animation (audience award).

In 2010, the festival recorded more than 49,400 visits, with nearly 20,000 more throughout the year. The HAFF is a five-day event for a broad audience and a meeting place and source of inspiration for animation professionals and emerging talent. The HAFF focuses on the latest developments, features high-profile competitions and thematic programs, as well as interesting talk shows, lectures, and exhibitions.

Animations can be submitted for screening and competition selection during the Netherlands Film Festival, including the competition for Dutch animation (audience award), via www.filmfestival.nl. The submission deadline is June 15, 2011.
