The Magnet Festival is an event where visitors can launch their own creative ideas via a co-creation internet platform, thereby creating the opportunity to add content to the festival themselves. The municipality of Amsterdam East is making a unique piece of land available for this purpose, a sand plain along the A10 ring road, where thousands of people can enjoy music, theatre, experimental buildings and visual art every day between 19 August and 11 September.

We even offer 500 people the opportunity to stay at the city campsite next to the festival site. The Oostpunt location in Amsterdam Zeeburg is the free space for creative minds for a month, the place where every visitor automatically becomes a participant. 'No spectators, only participators', that has always been the 'Magnet philosophy' and that starting point also now forms the basis for our co-creation festival. You create something special together. Sustainability plays an important role in this. The public invents, builds and breaks down again, because according to our motto 'leave no trace' we work together to keep this special place clean.
