The European Film Academy is pleased to announce the three animated films competing for the Best European Animated Film award. The nominated films are: LE CHAT DU RABBIN (The Rabbi's Cat) by French filmmakers Antoine Delesvaux & Joann Sfar, CHICO & RITA by Tono Errando, Javier Mariscal & Fernando Trueba, and UNE VIE DE CHAT by Jean-Loup Felicioli & Alain Gagnol. The jury consisted of EFA Board Members Per Holst (producer, Denmark) and Antonio Saura (producer, Spain), and representatives from CARTOON, the European Association of Animation Film, Patrick Caradec (France), Heikki Jokinen (Finland), and Thilo Rothkirch (Germany). The 2,500 EFA Members will determine the final winner, who will be announced during the European Film Awards Ceremony on Saturday, December 3 in Berlin.
