An ever-expanding internet with shrinking budgets: it calls for innovation, also in the field of casting.

New opportunities for casting actors have been abundant for quite some time, but are often not yet being utilized to their full potential. That is slowly but steadily changing, for example through the website Audition Channel.

Audition Channel is an initiative by SjouerCasting where actors can have an 'Audition Clip' made that is immediately posted online. This creates a website where directors and producers can, in principle, search for actors from their desk chairs.

SjouerCasting is not standing still and continues to improve the Audition Channel website. For example, a partnership was established this year with the Filmstart Industry Guide. An Audition Clip can now be very easily linked to a Filmstart account and integrated into the profile of the relevant actor. In doing so, Audition Channel is taking another step towards being accepted as the new standard for online casting.
