The statistical data regarding the use of Filmpeople's services last year have been released. Filmpeople maintains various internet services for filmmakers in the Netherlands, including the well-known sites Filmstart.nl and Filmvacatures. 2011 was an excellent year, seeing substantial growth in usage and visitor numbers. Unique visitors to the websites rose by 19.85% to 882,482, and page views reached nearly 8 million (150,000 per week). The introduction of new initiatives also proceeded smoothly. The Film Industry Guide, for example, was launched in the summer of 2011 (under the URL www.filmindustryguide.nl). By January 2012, more than 15,500 individual and company profiles had already been created for this guide for film professionals. The number of bulletin board posts per year increased by nearly 40% to 8,900 posts compared to 2010. The number of news items posted on Filmnieuws.nu reached 3,909, averaging 11 news items per day.

Filmpeople has been devising and creating internet platforms for film and television makers in the Netherlands since 1999. The Filmpeople network consists of 9 platforms and focuses all its activities on film and TV professionals. The best-known project is the website Filmstart.nl. In addition, there are filmvacatures.nl, filmcastings.nl, filmindustryguide.nl, filmfiguranten.nl, filmadressen.nl, filmstages.nl, filmnieuws.nu, and filmprikbord.nl.

2011 was the year of the introduction of two new services: the FIG (Film Industry Guide) and the mailing service Filmmailings.nl. A new newsletter service for film professionals was introduced via Filmmailings. The other platforms were also improved in many respects in 2011. For example, Filmstart received a new look.

Plans 2012
Next year, Filmpeople will further expand its services for film professionals. The new projects will be announced in the spring.
