From March 2012, the LGBTI Film Festival of Flemish Brabant, with the support of the Holebihuis Flemish Brabant, the City of Leuven, and the Province of Flemish Brabant, is launching a new edition of Holebikort: an artistic project that aims to encourage film talent from home and abroad to make short films incorporating the LGBTI theme. Three winners can win prizes totaling 1,500 euros.

The goal of the competition is to encourage everyone working with film to reflect on the theme of homosexuality and to express this on the big screen. We want to involve everyone and give them the opportunity to send their creativity out into the world: professional or amateur filmmaker, heterosexual, LGBTQ+, young, old, native, immigrant, ...

Short films from all over the world are welcome as long as the LGBT theme is addressed, although this does not necessarily have to be the main theme.
