The family film 'My Father Is a Detective! - The Mysterious Fort Island' has been awarded the 'Best Film' prize by the youth jury of the Vittorio Veneto Film Festival.

The film, which previously won the 'Moviesquad Junior Award' at the Netherlands Film Festival, is the first installment in the exciting and funny film series 'My Father Is a Detective', in which friends Sam, Sterre, and Ortwin solve cases with Sam's father, Max. As a result, they find themselves in a new adventure time and again. Throughout the series, the kids grow into self-aware teenagers, and Max becomes increasingly adept at single fatherhood. Even his ex-wife is starting to appreciate him more and more, although she continues to find Max's work dangerous.

Three films have now been produced, all directed by Will Wissink and written by Zebi Damen. The first two installments are currently available on DVD. The third feature film, titled 'De Competitie', is currently in production. The film is set against the backdrop of a Pop Talent TV Show and has the motto: 'How far will you go to win?'

The first part will soon be broadcast on television by the TROS on Father's Day at 9:00 AM.
