On Sunday, April 13, 2008, the final presentation of MUSIC IN MOTION will take place at the WesterUnie in Amsterdam!

MUSIC IN MOTION takes center stage for an entire evening with the interaction between image and sound. From a performance by the innovative KeyJay (Hammond organ, drums, vocals combined with visuals) to the classic animations Father and Daughter and The Monk and The Fish by Oscar winner Michael Dudok de Wit. The grand finale: five new short films with a live soundtrack performed by students from the Netherlands Film and Television Academy and the Amsterdam Conservatory. To conclude in style with the soulful house of DJs Diephuis and winner of Visual Sensations 2007 VJ Neef.

MUSIC IN MOTION is an initiative of MaxTak, originally a film orchestra. Orchestra MaxTak asked eleven students to share their vision of silent film. Not by working in the traditional way: first the film, then the music, but by truly getting to work together. Under the direction of conductor Micha Hamel, Orchestra MaxTak presents the result in MUSIC IN MOTION.
