Last week, more names were added to the cast of the romantic comedy VALENTINO. Beppe Costa (Koefnoen, 't Schaep met de 5 pooten), Sabri Saad El-Hamus (Pizza Maffia), Carola Arons (Willemspark), Manoushka Zegelaar Breeveld (Sonny Boy), Nader Farman (Van God Los), and Julliard Frans – better known as rapper HEF – will appear in the film in important supporting roles.

Film enthusiasts can help bring VALENTINO to fruition. These co-producers will receive various gifts and can follow the project from start to finish. More information on how to become a co-producer can be found on the website www.valentinodefilm.nl.

Valentino (39) is a successful Italian Maserati salesman and is in a relationship with Monique, his boss's daughter. He is about to be promoted and marry his great love. But Valentino has one problem; he is not Italian! When his father suffers a heart attack, he makes an emotional appeal to his son. Valentino agrees, but soon his promotion to director threatens to fall completely through because of it. And worse still; all the excuses make Monique start to doubt his love. To keep the woman of his dreams, Valentino will have to take off his Italian mask.

VALENTINO is directed by Remy van Heugten, known for television series such as HOE OVERLEEF IK...?, VAN GOD LOS, and FEUTEN.

The shooting will take place this summer. VALENTINO is produced by Lemming Film and Launch Works in co-production with VARA and is released by A-Film Distributie. The film is financed by, among others, the Netherlands Film Fund and the CoBO Fund.

VALENTINO will be shown in Dutch cinemas in the spring of 2013.
