Last night, director Jeroen Berkvens was presented with the Grand Prize for the film Paradiso at the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival in South Korea.

In Paradiso, all aspects of the Amsterdam pop temple are highlighted in a film like a dizzying rollercoaster ride, with the musician at the center, so that the film is also primarily about what it means to perform for an audience.

Jeroen Berkvens previously directed the successful films A Skin Too Few: The Days of Nick Drake and Jimmy Rosenberg: The Father, the Son & the Talent. Paradiso had its world premiere at IDFA last year and subsequently screened in various Dutch art houses.

On October 27, Paradiso will be broadcast by the NTR on NL 2.
