To date, LED lighting has not been and still is not widely used in film shoots.

This is partly due to clinging to what people are used to and not (wanting to) switch quickly to new possibilities, and partly due to previous negative experiences with LED lighting.
Earlier generations of LEDs were not of very good quality, had a low output, and often had an ugly, usually green color cast.

However, there is now LED light of such high quality that it can be used excellently and responsibly for lighting in film productions.
Additional benefits include low power consumption, allowing for easy operation with batteries on location without nearby power, the fact that the LED panels do not overheat, and that they recharge quickly.
