Submit Telefilm 2010 synopses before August 18, 5:00 PM!

The CoBO Fund will carry out the eleventh round of the Telefilm Project.
In this project, public broadcasters are collaborating with Dutch independent producers. Twelve grants can be awarded for developing a synopsis into a screenplay. The selection of these twelve synopses will be made by the public broadcasters. Ultimately, six telefilms will be produced in co-production between the broadcaster and the producer.

A Telefilm is a Dutch-language television film of around 90 minutes, primarily made for television broadcast.
The six final Telefilms produced were broadcast in 2010.

The stories take place in the 'present' (connecting with themes, events, and developments from 2010) and do not reflect on the past. The stories are relevant, surprising, and feature intriguing characters within a good narrative. The producer is asked to indicate for which target audience and network the film is intended.
The condition is that the plan must be realized within the available budget per film of around €800,000.

The synopses must be submitted to the CoBO Fund no later than 18 August 2008 before 17:00.

Conditions:
 The submission of synopses is open only to independent film/TV producers.
 The synopsis consists of a minimum of two and a maximum of four A4 pages (written on one side only).
 The synopsis must include a (working) title, author, date, and page numbering, and must be submitted in loose-leaf format (no ring binders, plastic covers, etc.).
 The synopsis is submitted as a single copy (one copy).
 Attached: Clear curriculum vitae of the writer and the producer, including address, telephone and fax numbers, and email address.
 The whole (the synopsis and curriculae) covers no more than 6 pages.
 The writer and producer may NOT be one and the same person.
 The producer must have relevant work experience.
Participation is open only to licensed broadcasters with a long track record in content and production (co-)productions of quality drama and/or (tele)film. Demonstrable affinity with and experience in co-producing 90 minutes of drama with a budget of around 800,000 is a requirement.
 Synopses rejected in previous rounds can only be resubmitted with the support of a qualifying public broadcaster.
 Synopses that do not meet these conditions will not be considered.
