Three films were submitted on behalf of the Netherlands to the Unica Festival 2008 in Hammamet, Tunisia.
All three films were awarded a silver medal.

This concerns:

Sjeng Huub Bervoets
Early retirement Jef Caelen
The portrait....Henk van Kooten Ton van Kan

The film Flip the Bear by G.A. de Boer, W. Bakker, and A. van der Tuin has reached the quarter-finals of the One Minute Movie Cup.
An excellent performance here as well.

During the closing ceremony, Douwe Dijkstra was presented with a medal by the president of Unica, Max Hänsli.
Since 1970, Douwe (91 years old) has attended the Unica festivals almost continuously. He has only had to miss out twice due to illness.
