On Monday, April 20 at 7:30 PM, there will be a one-time screening of the documentary Sluizer Speaks in the presence of director Dennis Alink. Afterwards, he will answer questions from the audience.

On September 20 of this year, the internationally active Dutch filmmaker George Sluizer passed away. This time, however, he did not rise from the dead; following an earlier arterial hemorrhage, he was wrongly declared dead and “almost pushed into the fridge.” A typical Sluizer statement, as becomes clear from this outspoken portrait, in which the idiosyncratic artist looks back on his richly filled life, his sources of inspiration, great loves, legendary encounters with the greats of the world, and his films: the common thread running through his existence.

The life story that Sluizer recounts in his own words—occasionally put to the test by director Dennis Alink—is supported by excerpts from his work and the shooting of his latest triumphant tour of film festivals with Dark Blood.
