We are looking for talented sketch comedy writers for a live comedy sketch show. Our goal is to produce and direct a show where we strive for very high quality. This comedy show will consist of sketches, songs, and videos.
Who are we? We are David and Simon Groen, aka the Groen Brothers. We have been making video sketches for television and the internet since 2002 (see our website). We are currently working on a pilot episode for our own sketch show. We would like to expand our comedy writing activities to a larger team, consisting of people with a passion for writing sketch comedy.
A good starting point for a television sketch show is a live show, which we intend to perform in the spring of 2010 at the Comedy Theater in Amsterdam. Our goal is to create a writers' table with 5 to 10 writers, modeled after British and American comedy TV shows such as Monty Python's Flying Circus, Friends, Saturday Night Live, Mad TV, Mr. Show, etc. We will pitch our material to each other and also rewrite each other's work.
Following the live show, we want to involve writers in our television projects.
