10 YEAR CROSSING
The Big Crossing Day at the Boiler House.

On Wednesday, December 9, Waterland Film and cinema Het Ketelhuis are organizing 'The Great Crossing Day' at cinema Het Ketelhuis in Amsterdam, in collaboration with the Netherlands Film Fund and VPRO Television. Throughout the day, Crossing films will be screened in three screening rooms. There will be two debates. The day is open to everyone.

11:30 Crossing for Beginners A public Q&A session regarding the requirements your film plan must meet as a beginning filmmaker to qualify for the Oversteek.

13:30 Special preview of 'Nothing Personal' (From Dec. 10 in cinemas)
15:30 The Great Crossing Debate Five short discussions with makers of the current series, experienced makers, and future makers of Crossing films. Directors, screenwriters, producers, and financiers on the question: Does The Crossing deliver what it is intended to?

19:30 Start of screenings of the last three Oversteek films

De Oversteek was established 10 years ago and is a collaboration between the VPRO and the Film Fund within which new, talented filmmakers can make their first or second feature film. To date, 14 films have been completed within this series. Films such as 'De Poolse bruid' by Karim Traïdia, 'Drift' by Michiel van Jaarsveld, 'Amnesia' by Martin Koolhoven, 'Guernsey' by Nanouk Leopold, 'Langer licht' by David Lammers, and 'Nothing Personal' by Urszula Antoniak.
