Submarine and producers Jeroen Beker and Sabine Veenendaal set up a film branch: Submarine Film

Producers Submarine (Bruno Felix and Femke Wolting), Jeroen Beker and Sabine Veenendaal are joining forces in a new film branch within Submarine: Submarine Film.

Felix and Wolting want to expand their film activities in addition to documentary, animation and transmedia productions and have entered into a partnership with the producers Beker and Veenendaal for this purpose.

The objective of Submarine Film is to reach a Dutch and international audience with innovative and distinctive films. The company focuses on contemporary subjects that capture the spirit of the times. Together they have the ambition to broaden the horizon and set up international productions. Submarine has a branch in Los Angeles (Sub LA) where Femke Wolting is working on the development of, among other things, the science fiction film Origin by director Matthijs van Heijningen JR, and a new film by Oscar-winning director Roger Ross Williams.

The producers have been active in film production separately for years and have made dozens of films, including: Eisenstein in Guanajuato, Last Hijack, Old hoes, Everything is Love, Black Book, Only Neat People, The Unfortunatelyness of Things, Stellet Licht, Minoes, A'dam & Eva, Santa Claus's Horse, Finn.

Submarine Film's first films will go into production in the coming months:
-De Telefilm Find that stupid bitch and throw her in the river by director Ben Brand (97%, Life is Beautiful)
-The feature film Miss Sing Song Suriname by Mischa Kamp (Het Paard van Sinterklaas, Boys).
-NTR BRIEF Remember to check out by director Hiba Vink and screenwriter Rifka Lodeizen
-The documentary Molenbeek by Wildcard winner Bart van den Aardweg (North East Hard West)

Submarine Film will move to Submarine's current business premises, Lab 111, on February 8.
