Every month, 'Het Schimmenrijk' pays tribute to recently deceased filmmakers from home and abroad. For the upcoming screening (December 20, 4:00 PM, Filmmuseum), a search was naturally conducted for archival material of Ramses Shaffy. The harvest was so rich that approximately half of the program will be dedicated to his work. Among the finds in the Filmmuseum archives were behind-the-scenes footage of a commercial featuring Ramses and raw footage of the Shaffy Cantata, filmed by Jan Vrijman. Young audiences can also be introduced to the complete short film 'Schermerhoorn' (Mattijn Seip, 1965), which was plagued by censorship issues at the time due to its pedophilic nature.
