Stichting Het Schrijfpaleis and the Netherlands Film Festival are jointly organizing a new Schrijfpaleis Deluxe. Graduated screenwriters will have the opportunity to have scenes from their unfilmed film or television script performed by well-known Dutch actors and/or actresses during the festival.

The Schrijfpaleis Deluxe gives you the opportunity to give your script a flying start! Last year, the Schrijfpaleis Deluxe was already a great success. The roles were played by Monic Hendrickx, Hadewych Minis, Kees Hulst, and Rogier Schippers. Three of the four projects from 2007 have found a producer and have gone into production.

A large panel consisting of broadcasting representatives, dramaturgs, producers, and committee members will respond to the readings. The Schrijfpaleis de Luxe will be presented by Moniek Kramer.

Do you have an unfilmed screenplay lying on the shelf, and would you like to see your script come to life during the festival? Then send (max.) 10 pages of your script in triplicate to the Netherlands Film Festival now.

The selection must be representative and suitable for the reading. It does not need to be sequential. Please include a synopsis of the script and any points for attention. You can send this entire package to:

The deadline for submission is August 28.
In early September, a selection will be made from all submitted scenarios.

The Netherlands Film Festival 2008 takes place from September 24 to October 3. The date of Schrijfpaleis Deluxe and the start of ticket sales will be announced in the run-up to the festival.
