Ron Smoorenburg, known from Jackie Chan's 'Who Am I?' with the fight on the roof of the Nedloyd building in 1997, has not been idle. Over the past 20 years, Ron has starred in more than 80 international films and worked with a host of famous actors, particularly from the action world.

Two years ago, Ron spent six months in China for his role as a general in Asura, which he calls a Lord of the Rings on steroids. This is the largest production ever made in China. This film is about a materialistic dimension entering the world we live in. It is a film with a lot of drama and action, featuring fight scenes that were very difficult to film and required two months of training. This film is released in China on July 13th. A year prior, Ron had already had a leading role as Black Knight in Luc Besson's 'Warriors' Gate'.

Furthermore, Triple Threat is coming out, a sort of Asian Expendables... In which Ron fights Tony Jaa.
Ron is currently working on his own martial arts film in Thailand.
