Following 2017 and 2018, Romedia Filmproducties is organizing the annual Filmmakers New Year's Drinks in Amersfoort again in 2019. This 3rd edition will be held on Saturday, January 12, and ticket sales have already started via the Facebook event. “The first editions were a great success with a lot of interest, so we expect a lot from this triple,” says organizer Robin de Ridder.

During the drinks reception, filmmakers from across the country have the opportunity to network extensively while enjoying a glass of champagne. “In previous editions, we noticed a great need for a joint kick-off to the new year for this community. Both cast and crew always have to keep working to expand or maintain their networks. As a result, the reception also functions as a sort of reunion, given that you speak with people you have probably been on set with before. At the same time, it is also a great way to connect with new makers, so it is quite literally New Year's Eve,” says Robin.

The new year will be kicked off festively after the raising of the champagne, followed by the start of various activities. Every effort is being made to ensure guests have the best possible start to the new year. This includes informative sessions and entertainment, and as a visitor, you are automatically entered into the race for various lottery prizes. Budgetcam is the main sponsor for this event. Additionally, computers are available for exchanging portfolios, and business cards can be posted on the bulletin board.

Everyone active in the film world (or wanting to become so) is welcome. Whether you are an actor, director, composer, editor, production assistant, motion graphic designer, colorist, gaffer, or student, as long as you are passionate about the craft and enjoy socializing with potential new contacts, this get-together might be of interest to you.
