My independent documentary 'Koutaiba: My Camera Is My Soulmate' is now available for purchase and rental via Vimeo.com at vimeo.com/ondemand/koutaiba. It is about the award-winning filmmaker and photographer Koutaiba Al Janabi from Iraq. When he was 17 years old, he fled the brutal regime of Saddam Hussein. The film features a Masterclass of Koutaiba's 40 years of filmmaking at the British Film Institute in London, and mixes an in-depth interview with excerpts from his impressive film and photographic work.
