DELTA Shorts is the film competition for young filmmakers. Just like every year, the DELTA Shorts competition will be held at the upcoming edition of Film by the Sea. A golden opportunity for every young director on their way to the top.
DELTA Shorts is a national competition in which anyone between the ages of 14 and 35 can submit a short film to compete for the DELTA Young Talent Award, the Shooting Star Award, and two fantastic cash prizes of €1,000. Only films of a maximum length of 10 minutes are eligible to compete. A selection will be made from all submissions in the run-up to the festival.

In addition to the jury prize, there is also the Shooting Star Award to encourage the best idea, best direction, or best cinematography. This award is an initiative of the film production company Shooting Star Filmcompany (Maria Peters, Dave Schram, Hans Pos).

The award ceremony will take place on Friday, September 17, during the prestigious Award Ceremony Dinner, where the two jury prizes will also be presented.

Seize this opportunity to put yourself on the map as an (emerging) filmmaker and send your film along with the application form by August 15! Who knows, you might get to walk the red carpet in September, on your way to the screening of your own film!
