Charlotte Gillain has had a great fascination for making, moving and playing since she was young. After a short visit to the Bachelor Teacher Dance at ArtEZ, she quickly found her place at the Mime program in Amsterdam. There she could not only develop her movement quality and her playing skills, but she also became a passionate maker. Here she could finally combine her fascination for playing, moving and making. As a maker, she is intrigued by transformation and her work is often characterized as atmospheric, ambiguous and subcutaneous. With an eye for experiment, as a maker she has a preference for technology (deepfake, motion-capture, etc.) and film, always with a focus on the physical experience of the performers and the audience.
