Caitlin Shawn Balsemhof

I am a poet, spoken word artist, singer, songwriter, and aspiring actress. I was the winner of Poetry Slam Rotterdam 2024/2025. In my youth, I performed at Jeugdtheater Hofplein, and in early 2026, I took Acteren 1 at the Rotterdam Theatre School. Language, emotion, and human complexity are central to my work. As an actress, I am particularly drawn to serious roles in which vulnerability, strength, and nuance come together.

Ik ben dichter, zangeres, songwriter en spoken word artiest met een sterke interesse in acteren. In mijn jeugd heb ik gespeeld bij Jeugdtheater Hofplein en begin 2026 heb ik Acteren 1 gevolgd aan de Toneelschool Rotterdam. Ik voel me vooral aangetrokken tot serieuze, gelaagde rollen en speel graag natuurlijk, gevoelig en vanuit emotie.
