The documentary Mama'ku - From Jakarta to the Moluccas by director Sven Peetoom has achieved Crystal Film status, as the film surpassed the 10,000 cinema visitor mark. In the documentary, a mother and daughter search for the hidden past of migration, domestic violence, and intergenerational trauma in Indo-Dutch and Moluccan families, with Sven Peetoom, protagonist Cheroney Pelupessy, and producer Gi Au-Yeung accepting the award at the Moluccan Monument in Amsterdam. It is the seventh Crystal Film presented by the Netherlands Film Festival this year, with support from the Netherlands Film Fund and the Abraham Tuschinski Fund.
