Three Dutch co-productions have been selected for the 79th Locarno Film Festival, where two titles will have their world premiere. The First Flower, a Kosovo-Swiss-Dutch co-production written and directed by Astrit Ismaili, has been selected for the Concorso Nazionale within Pardi di Domani and follows Siki for one day in Prishtina. Obscura, written and directed by Timoteus Anggawan Kusno, has its world premiere in the international competition of Pardi di Domani, in which three gallery employees steal a Beautiful Indies painting. Donkey Princess, directed by Cristóbal León and Joaquín Cociña, with a Dutch co-production by Marleen Slot for Viking Film, premieres on August 7 and follows Princess Diana as she seeks her forbidden love through magical journeys.
