The budget cuts at the public broadcaster will gradually become visible starting from the upcoming TV season, with the season serving primarily as a transitional year. From September, NOS Studio Voetbal and Zomergasten will disappear, while the large-scale cutbacks will not take effect until January 2027, when the NPO will spend 156 million euros less annually. At that point, programs such as Kassa, First Dates, 3 op Reis, and cultural programs like Draadstaal and Opium at Oerol will cease to exist, while Zappsport, Muziekcafé, and Andere Tijden will be scaled back. De Avond will also disappear from NPO Radio 5, and more programs directly linked to the cuts are expected to follow.
