The Dutch film and AV industry presented a mixed picture for 2025, with the record number of theatrical releases making it more difficult for Dutch productions to distinguish themselves from international competition. Cinema attendance for Dutch films fell by nearly a quarter compared to the previous year, while Mike van Diem's *Voor de Meisjes* and Dick Maas's *Amsterdamned II* served as major crowd-pullers in the autumn. Total production volume declined due to fewer minority co-productions and fewer series produced, while total revenue remained virtually stable and the VOD market appears to have consolidated after years of strong growth.
