The Netherlands is strongly represented at the Venice International Film Festival with three works in the Venice Immersive Competition. Celine Daemen, who won the Grand Jury Prize in 2023, returns with Nothing to See Here, an interactive installation about AI that previously premiered at IDFA DocLab. Nemo Vos (Tibor de Jong & Doris Konings) presents the world premiere of Honeyboys, a 36-minute VR work about consumerism, while Steye Hallema marks his third participation in Venice Immersive with La Laguna Parla. Stavros Markoulakis' short film Tropic of the Mourning Gecko, a Dutch co-production, has been selected for the Orizzonti Short Films Competition.
