Tijmen Snoep graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy with the documentary *Becoming the Warden*. The film follows Joeri de Bruin, a mild-mannered man struggling to project authority for a role as a prison warden. Snoep frames the material as fiction, blurring the line between documentary and acted scene. An internship with documentary filmmaker Luuk Bouwman during *The Desert of the Real* introduced him to the genre. Alongside *Becoming the Warden*, his Teledoc Campus project *The Temptation to Exist* is also screening at the Netherlands Film Festival. Snoep is currently working on a new documentary about the Dutch porn industry.
