On August 24, AVROTROS is launching a reboot of Fort Alpha, the iconic drama series from 1996. The story moves from secondary school to vocational education. A merger between Fort Alpha and MBO Oostland forms the dramatic driving force of the series. Central themes are mental health, pressure to perform, and drug use. The series is directed by Rachel van Bruggen, Erwin van den Eshof, and Sergej Groenhart. NewBe is producing the series in collaboration with Anjali Taneja, commissioned by AVROTROS.
