Marcel de Block will be the new CEO of Dutch FilmWorks. He succeeds Willem Pruijssers, who founded the company in 1998. De Block has been associated with DFW for seventeen years and previously held the roles of CFO and co-CEO. Prior to that, he worked at Universal Pictures for ten years. He also built up DFW's production arm. Pruijssers is not stepping down completely but will become Chief Strategic Officer. In that role, he will focus on strategic growth, including the expansion of Flemish production partner Dingie and potential similar collaborations in the Netherlands. He will also explore new areas such as licensing and strategic partnerships.
