The Pervert's Guide to Utopias, the third installment in Sophie Fiennes' trilogy featuring philosopher Slavoj Žižek, had its world premiere at Venice FF and its North American premiere at TIFF. Dutch co-producers Lisette Kelder and Ineke Kanters of The Film Kitchen are overseeing the project, which received support from the Netherlands Film Fund and broadcaster VPRO. Dutch involvement is remarkably broad: DoP Remko Schnorr, colorist Joel Sahuleka, and designer Sander Brouwer contributed. British funding was absent this time, but Slovenia, Ireland, and Norway filled the gap. The result is a fully-fledged European project.
