Laurens Kloosterman (HKU) made *De ware Björn spreekt* after a burnout and his father's heart attack. This standstill forms the core of his absurdist graduation drama. Björn, thirty years old, lives with his overprotective mother and dying father, while his only friend leaves for Paris. The North Drenthe landscape further isolates him. Costume designer Esmee Alexander and make-up artist Lieve Scholtens rendered characters such as Trudi Klever's mother unrecognizable. Sound designer Sam Titshof opted for no music but for sharp contrasts, featuring a scream inspired by Munch's painting. Benno Veenstra plays Björn. The film will be screened at NFF 2026.
