Ang Geck Geck Priscilla won the IFFR 2026 Young Jury Award with Ah Girl. The film is set in Singapore in 1994 and follows seven-year-old Swee Swee, whose parents are divorcing. Ang based the story on her own childhood. The 4:3 aspect ratio enhances the child's perspective, something the jury described as a "warm hug." Ang spent months with her young lead actresses before filming began. Nine-year-old Ong Xuan Jing has already won two acting awards for this role. The award has helped Ang secure a distributor in the run-up to the North American premiere at TIFF.
