Niv Fux, former director of Leiden Shorts, is leading Cinekid for Professionals for the first time this year during the 40th edition of Cinekid (October 10-16). He is introducing three innovations. The Screening Club is gaining a Live dimension, focused on the collective film experience. The new Expert Sessions connect producers with funds, festivals, and broadcasters for concrete collaboration. The Industry Forum offers three keynotes this year: Linda Duits on the social impact of enjoyment, Samya Hafsaoui on community building through storytelling, and Pablo Núñez on AI and creativity. Finally, Fux is introducing the Young Professional Badge, a lower-cost accreditation to give students and young talent access to the professional program.
