POLYMORF presents Microbiome Restaurant at IDFA DocLab, a three-part immersive project about the microorganisms that inhabit our bodies. Marcel van Brakel developed three performances in which participants eat their skin microbes, receive rectal snacks, and stimulate brains. The project, scientifically substantiated with academics, challenges Western notions of human autonomy.
