(auto-translated from Dutch Dutch)
We are a group of young makers from Generation Z and are making a short documentary (3–4 minutes) called What We Carry Forward. We are the first generation to have grown up with smartphones and social media. In the film, young adults look back on their own youth: what it did to us, what we missed, and what we would like to see done differently for children today.
The film is not an indictment of technology. It shows that it can be honest and nuanced, showcasing both the beautiful and the difficult sides. Interviews are combined with childhood photos, home videos, and memories. The film is intended for parents of primary school children. Our message: we cannot change how our generation grew up, but we can reconsider what a childhood looks like for the next.
What we offer
-A safe, respectful shooting atmosphere where you decide what you share

Description
We are looking for 5 to 6 young people and young adults between 18 and 29 years old who want to share their personal story about growing up with a smartphone and social media. We would like a mix of experiences, for example:
-someone who got their first phone at a young age (around 7–10 years old)
-someone who got one late (around 13–14 years old)
-someone who still struggles with screen usage
-someone who has changed his or her habits
-someone who is grateful for his or her parents' rules
It would also be nice if you have childhood photos or home videos that we can use. You don't have to tell anything “negative.” We are looking for honest stories.
