Six characters—six vertically positioned flat screens—sit at a long table, with six chairs, six glasses, a bottle of water.... A seventh chair is empty. Waiting for the sheikh and hoping he comes, for there is quite a lot to discuss.
The Flemish Berlin creates cinematic theater, a blend of documentary, performance, and video. Documentary? Theater? Installation? Go see it and conclude with the makers that there are different truths, and a label doesn't really matter. Spoken in English and German, with Dutch subtitles.
