The international competition on New Arrivals, the online platform for short films, reaches its conclusion on Sunday, January 30, during the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR). A professional jury will select the winning entry for the year 2010 from twelve monthly winners.

New Arrivals, an initiative of broadcaster NTR and the IFFR, has offered an online platform to mostly young, up-and-coming filmmakers since 2006. Every month, they can upload films ranging from a minimum of 30 seconds to a maximum of 30 minutes to the website ntr.nl/newarrivals. A jury selects a winner each month. These monthly winners are screened once on the big screen during the IFFR (January 26 to February 6, 2011). In 2010, a total of 236 films were submitted.

This year's final takes place on Sunday, January 30, at the LantarenVenster theater on the Wilhelminapier (Kop van Zuid) in Rotterdam. The event will be hosted by Isolde Hallensleben (known for, among others, *Vrw zkt knst* and *Nacht van de korte film*). An expert jury will select the ultimate winner, who will be presented with the New Arrivals Award (€1,000) at the end of the afternoon. For the first time this year, the online audience winner, *De Blauwe Bus* by Sanne Kortooms, will also be screened. The public is welcome.
