The nominations for the Tuschinski Award and the Talent&Pro Award have been announced in the first daily newspaper of the 28th Netherlands Film Festival.
The nominees for the Tuschinski Award for Best Film from the Netherlands Film and Television Academy in Amsterdam are:
- DAYLIGHT, Michiel Rummens, fiction, short film
- GAANDEWEG, Margot Schaap, fiction, short film
- PJOTR, LETTERS FROM THE GULAG, Jan Jaap Kuiper, short documentary
The nominees for the Talent&Pro Award for the best film from the other audiovisual programs in the Netherlands are:
- ANNA, Ruben Pest, AKV St. Joost in Breda, fiction, short film
- I WISH I COULD SHARE THE HAPPINESS OF BEING ALONE WITH SOMEONE ELSE, Aaron Rookus, Utrecht University of the Arts, fiction, short film
- ŠKODA, Rob Lücker, Utrecht University of the Arts, fiction, short film
The prizes will be awarded on Friday, September 26 at 6:00 PM at Louis Hartlooper Complex 1, following:
10:00 – 13:30: Student Relay, where filmmakers engage in conversation with film experts.
2:00 PM: Screening of Talent&Pro Award Nominations
4:15 PM: screening of Tuschinski Award nominations
The Tuschinski Award consists of a prize of 2,500 euros from Pathé Cinemas BV. The winner is chosen by the members of the Circle of Dutch Film Journalists.
The Talent&Pro Award consists of a sum of 2,500 euros, offered by sponsor Talent&Pro. The jury members are: Jef Nassenstein, Piet-Harm Sterk, and Maarten Timmerman (Managing Director of Talent&Pro). The Talent&Pro Award is being presented for the sixth time to encourage emerging talent in their further careers in the film industry. Staffing agency Talent&Pro does this for talents in the banking and insurance sectors and facility services.
