A new edition of the IKL is in sight. The 17th International Short Film Festival Leuven will take place from 3 to 10 December 2011. A Flemish and a European Short Film Competition will once again be organized at the IKL. The Flemish Audiovisual is once again a guest at the IKL. for the presentation of the coveted Wildcards (see below). We list all the prizes that will be awarded at the IKL 2011:

A. FLEMISH SHORT FILM COMPETITION
-Prize of the Jury for Best Short Film (2000 euros, donated by the National Lottery)
-Public Award for Best Short Film
-Prize for the Best Debut (2500 Euro, donated by the Province of Flemish Brabant)
-Public Award for Best Animated Feature
-Prize of the Jury for Best Video Clip (1500 euros, donated by SABAM)

B. EUROPEAN SHORT FILM COMPETITION
-Prize of the Jury for Best Short Film (2000 euros, donated by SACD)
-Public Award for Best Short Film (gifted by Canvas)

Conditions for participation in competition are as follows:
A. Flemish Short Film Competition
-Maximum 40 minutes
-Finished after October 1, 2010
-Majority Flemish production
- Deadline for submission: October 3, 2011

A. European Short Film Competition
-Maximum 40 minutes
-Finished after July 30, 2010
-Majority European production
- Deadline for submission: August 3, 2011

Filmmakers who want to submit a film can do so by first completing the online registration form (see link below) and then sending a DVD with the film to:
