Robert Alberdingk Thijm (Bussum, 1965) and Norbert ter Hall (Gorinchem, 1966) are the creators of the series A'dam-EVA. Never before has the city of Amsterdam been captured so beautifully. Together, they have been nominated for the title of Amsterdammer of the Year.
In the series by Robert Alberdingk Thijm (script) and Norbert ter Hall (director), Amsterdam is not the backdrop; it is a genuine character. Filming took place at more than 180 locations throughout the city, and the street scenes were shot with a zoom lens. Casual passers-by become extras.
