Filmfront Festival 2009 Real Film
Gorinchem- December 22, 2008
Film Front Festival, the annual film festival in the fortified city of Gorinchem, is organizing its eleventh edition in 2009. The festival starts on Thursday, May 14, and will close on Sunday, May 17. Registration for the competition opens on Monday, December 15, 2008, at www.filmfrontfestival.nl. During the Film Front Festival, a thematic program centered on the theme of Real Film will be organized.
The festival offers a platform for independent filmmakers seeking new avenues in cinematic language. The most important part of the festival is the film competition, with the coveted Golden Egg as the main prize. The competition will consist of three categories: fiction, documentary, and animation.
In addition to the competition, the program will consist of workshops for primary and secondary education, an open-air cinema, screenings of the entries, and a special program centered on the theme of Real Film. On the evening of Short Film Day, the gold, silver, and bronze eggs will be awarded during the gala.
