The Iranian Film Festival was successfully held for the third time last October at Lantaren/Venster in Rotterdam. Now, everyone has the chance to see the best films of the festival one more time as a preview of the fourth edition later this year.
The program includes, among others, the rock documentary At the End of a Perfect Day (Mina Keshavarz, 2008), a thematic program on humor in Iran (Eefje Blankenvoort), the documentary Tehran, Another Side (Sam Ali Kashani, 2008), and the film Be Calm and Count to Seven (Ramtin Lavafipour, 2009).
The Iranian Film Festival is the first festival in Europe to focus entirely on the multifaceted (visual) culture of (contemporary) Iran. With a multidisciplinary program of feature films, documentaries, and animations by passionate filmmakers from Iran, the festival presents a picture of the country from the perspective of creative Iranians.
The Iranian Film Festival offers a diverse program every year of short films, music videos, animated films, feature films, and documentaries, as well as photography, music, and culinary delights. The fourth edition of the Iranian Film Festival will take place on November 27, 28, and 29, 2009, at Lantaren/Venster in Rotterdam. The festival will be partly dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
