From June 18 to 28, 2009, the Rutger Hauer Filmfactory is organizing a ten-day international masterclass in Rotterdam for the third time, during which actor and filmmaker Rutger Hauer shares his knowledge, vision, and passion regarding the craft of filmmaking with thirty ambitious filmmakers from around the world. In ten days, they will make 12 short films under the inspiring guidance of Rutger Hauer and a team of (inter)national experts.

Through the filmmaking process, participants learn to let go of conventional notions of filmmaking, enabling them to film in their own personal way. Their flexibility, creative thinking, and collaborative skills are tested and challenged by numerous obstacles and unexpected twists.
