Celluloid Remix: an online remix contest featuring unique Dutch film material from the Filmmuseum's collection. It concerns silent film fragments from the early 20th century, providing a glimpse into the rapid industrial and societal changes in the years following the First World War. Some are in black and white, while others feature spectacular colors through a tinting and toning process.

Now create your own mix with this material – incorporate your own footage and sound or combine the existing clips. Everyone who submits their own mix of these clips stands a chance to win great prizes (including a software package worth €1,000). The awards ceremony will take place during the Netherlands Film Festival.

The film clips and more information about the competition are available via: http://www.celluloidremix.nl. See also the attached press release.
