The life of an aging doorman is shattered when he is relieved of the duties and
uniform which had been the foundation of his happiness and pride. Through
Emil Janning's extraordinary performance, Der Letzte Mann becomes more
than the duty of a single doorman, but a mournful dramatization of the
frustration and anguish of the universal working class and one of the most
touching achievements in the history of German expressionist cinema.
Der Letzte Mann will be presented with an original electro-acoustic soundtrack
