Dear interested party,
After years of working incredibly hard, toiling, growing, falling, and getting back up again and again, the curtain will fall for Tattje Rekwisieten for good in the very near future. The main reason is that not enough orders are coming in anymore, and it does not look like that will happen in the coming year.
Since Tattje Rekwisieten is a company without reserves, the blow hits particularly hard, and I no longer see any possibility of responsibly holding my own in these turbulent times.
My long period working in the props business is coming to an end. I was instilled with a love for the trade from a young age. From selling old and antique items to purchasing old and antique items specifically intended for rental to you, the customer. The collection of one hundred thousand and one props was built up very carefully over a period of approximately 25 years. First under the wing of Brandwacht en Meijer. Continued under my own name since 2001, with a focus primarily on renting props and on-location styling with the most diverse themes.
Sales have increasingly taken a back seat in recent years, partly due to the rapid developments surrounding Marktplaats. However, we have always remained an interesting point of sale for the hospitality industry and private individuals, and I frequently purchased fine lots from traders and various organizations. Often specifically for rental, to expand our themes, but also frequently specifically for sale. Everyone from the television and film world, theater and stage, and event organizers knew how to find me.
It is difficult for me to liquidate my own business, but this will nevertheless have to happen in the short term. As of today, June 3, 2009, we are unfortunately no longer able to accept orders regarding the rental of equipment. Naturally, we will complete the orders that have already been accepted as best as possible.
I will be using the coming weeks to sell as much stock as possible. So, if you are interested in acquiring something from my collection, seize the opportunity now! Or perhaps you know people in your immediate circle who are interested in a part, or maybe even the entire collection. Everything at rock-bottom prices and open to any reasonable offer.
Our opening hours remain unchanged. However, we will no longer be open on the upcoming Saturdays.
I would like to thank everyone for the very pleasant past years. I hope to speak with and/or see you in the near future.
Best regards,
Abel Tattje.
